Detroit's second-year receiver Titus Young, exiled earlier this year only to return, used his Tuesday afternoon -- and fourth (or fifth) chance to remain a Lion -- to go on a Twitter rant.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young is attempting to spend the rest of his nine lives on Twitter.

The troubled second-year receiver, who was exiled by the team during the 2012 season after allegedly running the wrong route (intentionally) during a November contest against Green Bay, is again throwing caution to the wind. On Tuesday afternoon, Young, who coach Jim Schwartz implied might be welcomed back in 2013 during his end-of-year briefing, went on a Twitter rant where he addressed what others perceive to be selfish behavior of mythic proportion.

He may have only cemented that legacy.

Tweeted Young via his @TitusDYoungSr account, "Like I said I never been selfish but if I'm not going to get the football i don't want to play anymore." Adding just minutes later, "Never have I ran the wrong route, just put my self where the ball was going."

According to some reports, Young was the cause of a sideline blow-up between offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and receivers coach Shawn Jefferson, who is no longer with the team. Young was removed from the game and consequently suspended. He returned, only to be suspended again, before Schwartz refused to dismiss Young entirely at season's end.

It's also been reported that Young had difficulty adapting to a supportive role to starter Calvin Johnson, going as far as to consider himself the better player.

The Detroit coaching staff is currently in Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl.
