The Detroit Lions have agreed to contract terms with free-agent defensive tackle Jason Jones (Seattle), according to NFL insider Adam Caplan.
Jones, 26, is a Detroit native and Eastern Michigan alum. He tallied three sacks in 12 games for the Seahawks in 2012, although his season prematurely ended following knee surgery.
At 6-5, 276 pounds, the former second-round pick is versatile enough to play both inside and outside, and should replace the expectedly departing Sammie Lee Hill.
