(DETROIT) -- It wasn't the most elegant victory, but the Detroit Lions and head coach Steve Mariucci will take it.

On Sunday, the Lions grabbed their third victory of the season in a 12-10 struggle over the division rival Chicago Bears. The win pulled Detroit (3-6) into a last-place tie with Chicago (3-6) in the NFC North division.

The Lions relied upon the trusty leg of Lions' veteran kicker Jason Hanson, who scored all of Detroit's 12 points on four field goals, including the 48-yard game winner with just under one minute remaining.

The victory gives the Lions their first winning streak (two games) since the 2000 season under former head coach Gary Moeller, and equals Detroit's win total of last season.

Chicago was hampered by two missed Paul Edinger field goals (one blocked), and passing inefficiency by quarterback Chris Chandler. Chandler had a difficult time finding targets against a patchwork Lions' secondary, and was unable to convert on a big 3rd-and-3 late in the 4th quarter.

Chandler finished 16-of-28 for 149 yards and a touchdown, including a Corey Harris interception on an errant Chandler throw that sealed the victory for Detroit.

Although Lions' quarterback Joey Harrington didn't toss a touchdown pass, he also didn't throw an interception. Harrington was effective and sharp against the 7th best pass defense in the league, completing 24-of-38 passes for 238 yards.

Next week, the Lions will travel to Seattle to face the 6-3 Seahawks.
