Camp update: Orlovsky making his move; more
As slow and methodic as his release, Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky is reminding everyone at the Allen Park training facility exactly why the team spent a fifth-round pick on him last year. Overshadowed by the acquisition of two free-agent quarterbacks, starter Jon Kitna and assumed reserve Josh McCown, Orlovsky remained hard at work during the off-season despite his apparent "third-string" status, flying well below the media radar. Even during the team's quarterback school, he impressed offensive coordinator Mike Martz with his football IQ and quick learning ability. Orlovsky later flaunted those talents in mini-camps and OTA's, but nonetheless didn't catch any headlines.
