| Mike McMahon is the type of quarterback which entices you with his athletic ability and make-up. But, his inconsistency and questionable decision making process is the primary reason why he has been a backup with the Detroit Lions. McMahon throws a very catch able ball, but his pocket awareness has been questionable, with this athletic quarterback far too often moving out of the pocket rather than stepping up into the pocket. Turnovers have been an issue with McMahon and he must take better care of the ball, while improving his recognition of the defense for him to be anything more than a backup quarterback. McMahon is young enough that a team may provide him the opportunity to earn a starting spot. |
