Dane Looker Profile
The Detroit Lions inked former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Dane Looker, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.
Looker, an unrestricted free-agent, will be reunited with Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, who served as Rams head coach the previous three years.
The 33-year old, nine-year veteran started six games for St. Louis in 2008, collecting 23 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns. It was his most productive year since 2005.
Speculation was rampant that Looker would replace Keary Colbert, but the Lions released WR Bobby Sippio instead.
The Lions also released T Kirk Barton and signed former Bears third-round pick and guard Terrence Metcalf. The 6-4, 310-pounder played with the Bears from 2002 until last season.
