Mikel Leshoure Excited About His Pro Future

A distinguished former Fighting Illini football player returned to campus Saturday. Running back Mikel Leshoure visited his hometown and attended the Illini basketball game with Nebraska. Forced to sit out his first pro football season due to injury, Leshoure still benefitted from his experiences.

Mikel Leshoure was a second round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in the 2011 NFL draft. He was hoping to make a big splash his rookie year, but he tore his Achilles tendon three days before his first exhibition game.
